A Go To Date Night Outfit & Makeup Look with Adore Me

Recently, I discovered Adore Me and decided I would be interested in getting involved in their latest date night project, I of course said yes. Adore Me is a brand I'd actually never heard of before, but they have some absolutely gorgeous lingerie that I really wish I could buy - sadly they don't ship to the UK. Going on dates is something that me and my boyfriend absolutely love to do, whether it's a fancy dinner out or an evening tucked up watching TV. Being in a long distance relationship means, to us, that any time together is so special.

When getting ready for a date, one where we are actually leaving the sofa, I like to make an extra bit of effort to look and feel good in my own skin. There are certain pieces in my wardrobe I can throw together and certain makeup products I can put on which I know will look good every time, and this of course makes getting ready a lot less stressful, and of course makes me feel more confident and special. I personally think having certain pieces like this in your wardrobe is so important, as they're always there waiting if you aren't really feeling another outfit that you perhaps originally planned to wear.

Feeling confident and relaxed in preparation for a date is what Adore Me's date night project is all about. To support their project, I'm sharing with you one of my go to date night outfits and makeup looks that I can reach for wherever we're going, whether its the cinema, dinner or cocktails.

The Outfit.

My outfit is pretty simple, but with splashes of colour and pattern thrown in here and there to make it more feminine and dressed up. For me, I can never go wrong with black. I just think black adds sophistication to any look and can instantly make me look more put together. I've gone for a black V neck short sleeved top from Zara. The deep V neck makes this top a little more feminine and sexy, which I love.

I've paired it with some Topshop black Joni jeans. You just can't go wrong with a good pair of black high waisted jeans. These jeans are just so flattering and sinch me in in all the right places; I love how nice they make my hips and bum look. I always feel so confident in these jeans, and it's also not bad that my boyfriend loves them on me too, haha.

To finish the outfit off, I chose a gorgeous printed kimono from Matalan. I bought this a few years ago now but I still adore it to this day. The many colours in this kimono means it just goes with everything, making it a go to piece in my wardrobe when it comes to trying to find a date outfit. Plus the beautiful floral print instantly adds a feminine and chic vibe to any outfit. I also chose my ASOS black loafers, as they're classy but not OTT, and then to tie in with the pink and purple on the kimono, I've added a cute pale pink bag from Forever 21, Barry M Sunset Nail Polish in Dark Side Of The Shroom, my Olivia Burton watch, and finally my gorgeous new Daisy Dream Blush perfume - just look at that packaging though. Smelling good is also something that makes me feel super confident. I love being able to try out new perfumes because who doesn't want to smell amazing, right?

I also thought I would incorporate a lingerie set from Adore Me into my outfit. It was so hard to choose, as there are so many gorgeous sets that I would definitely wear. I'm neither a total sexy lingerie or total comfy lingerie girl, I am a mix of both, depending on my mood and what the occasion is. However, for a date, I do like to feel good underneath my clothes, and some pretty and flirty lingerie is the best way to do so. I've chosen the Black Push Up Balconette Rylie Bra and matching pants, simply because I just adore black underwear and this set will also sit nicely under my outfit, as I'm wearing black clothes on top. I also think this set is incredibly feminine, flirty and just perfect for a date. I don't know about you, but wearing lingerie like this just makes me feel amazing.

The Makeup Look.

This makeup look is a gorgeous purple smoky eye. I am literally OBSESSED with this look and was so proud of myself when I created it. I felt like this makeup look is so flirty and romantic, making it perfect for a special date and for making me feel sexy and confident. To create the eye look, I used a combination of Makeup Geek eyeshadows. These eyeshadows are of seriously insane quality, so I can use these shadows for wearing on a date without any fuss - they're just amazing every time.

Autumnal Rose Gold/Copper Makeup Look

I've always been an eyeshadow girl, ever since I started wearing makeup a lot more often at around age 12 or 13, but recently I just can't get enough of it. I've been so into creating new looks that I might not have worn before, as well as testing out new brands and trying to improve my skills.

I recently thought to myself, 'hey, why the heck don't I post makeup looks to my blog more often?'. And the answer is, I don't really know. I guess they can be quite time consuming and can cause me a bit of stress (as if it's going on the blog I want it to be as good as possible). But, I'm determined to try post makeup looks more frequently on my blog as I just love seeing what other bloggers create and gaining inspiration from them, so I want to add my ideas and creations into the mix as well.

My first makeup look is an autumnal rose gold/copper look. I've been loving wearing warm tones and creating smokiness on my eyes, so this look is right up my street. The copper tones and red toned browns make it just perfect for wearing throughout Autumn that's just started here in the UK. I teamed the eyes up with a matte brown lip which go perfectly together. Also, apologies that this makeup look consists pretty much entirely of Makeup Geek - I just can't get enough of that brand, their eyeshadows are insane! Anyway, so, without further ado, here's the products I slapped on my face to achieve this look...

September 2016 Wishlist: ASOS, Topshop & River Island

Life would sure be sweet if I could actually afford this entire wishlist...

But hey, there's no harm in a little admiration, is there? I'm hopeful that at least a couple of these pieces will end up in my wardrobe at some point. As you might be able to tell, I'm really into pale/blush pink at the moment. I'm definitely up for incorporating more pieces of this shade into my wardrobe in preparation for Autumn and Winter. I just love the overall colour palette of this wishlist; I think pale pink, white, grey and black just look so damn good together. Something about these colours together just screams chic and girly to me. To summarise this wishlist, there's everything from cosy yet girly jumpers, chic coats and jackets, cool but casual tops and a few going out pieces, so hopefully there's something for everyone.

Why not have a little browse for yourself?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit Review & Swatches

After receiving this little beauty on my birthday, I immediately knew that I had to dedicate a whole post to it.

Before I begin, can we just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous this palette is? In my eyes it's a highlighter lover's dream palette. All of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits are gorgeous, but Sun Dipped was definitely the one I lusted over the most when I contemplated buying one for myself. They're just my kinda shades. So, when my boyfriend Aaron gave this to me on my birthday, I was over the moon and felt so lucky. A mahoosive thank you goes to him for this amazing present - plus without him this post wouldn't be possible.

Sun Dipped comes with four gorgeous warm toned powder highlighters, which I will list and tell you how ABH describes each one. There's Bronzed (amber with a penny metal finish), Summer (luminous sand with a white gold finish), Tourmaline (warm taupe with a rose gold finish) and finally Moonstone (radiant quartz with a pearl finish).

The shades themselves are pretty identical to how ABH describe them, which is always good when buying products online, as ABH isn't available in stores in the UK (cry). The only thing I would say is that the shades swatch ever so slightly lighter to how they look in the pans, especially Tourmaline. However, I see that as a good thing as this shade is more subtle than I was expecting and thus looks amazing even when I'm really pale.

The formula and pigmentation of these highlighters is literally insane. They're the butteriest, creamiest highlighters I've ever used. They are incredibly finely milled and don't have any of that chunky or chalky business going on, so they blend ridiculously flawlessly and look effortlessly glowy and sheeny on the cheekbones. A little bit really goes a long way with these highlighters too. One little tap of your brush and bam - your cheekbones are instantly poppin'.

In terms of the use I get out of this palette, I've used it pretty much every day and none of the shades get left out. I was afraid that I wouldn't get as much use out of Bronzed because of my fair skin, but it actually works amazingly well as a warm bronzer/contour shade and gives my face the most beautiful bronzed goddess glow. Because of this, I'd say this palette would look great on a lot of skin tones. Tourmaline is especially beautiful when wearing a pink toned eye look, and Summer and Moonstone look especially amazing with very warm toned eye looks, however their versatility means they also go with any other eye look under the sun. As well as on the cheeks, these powders can go in the inner corners of my eyes, as an eyelid shade, under the brow bone, the cupids bow, down the nose, you name it. Plus, the powders can also be layered together for a slightly more intense look. They're just so versatile.

The packaging is also beautiful, however the icing on the cake would be a mirror inside the palette, but I guess we can't always have everything, can we? Although, the pans do pop out if you did want to move them into another palette e.g. a Z palette, so that's always super handy if you want all your makeup pans in one place.

This palette comes at a pretty pricey £39 (available on Cult Beauty), however for the amount I use this palette, how versatile it is and how high quality these powders are, I'd say it's definitely worth the price tag (I know this palette was a birthday gift, but I'm saying that if I paid for it myself I would be extremely satisfied with how far my money went). It's just stunning and I feel so lucky to finally own it.

Have you tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit? Have you tried any of the other ABH glow kits? Or are you yet to try any of them?
