Well, I think it’s fair to say… long time no blog! Being a final year uni student has meant that my blog has had to take a little back seat. Instead of writing blog posts, I’ve been spending most of my spare time writing essays, working on presentations, and let’s not forget my dissertation. It’s the Easter holidays now (I still have lots going on) but whilst I’ve been collecting data for my dissertation, I’ve managed to squeeze in a bit of time to take some blog photos and give you all a little update on what I’ve been up to.
I got a job!
I shared the news over on my Instagram but I thought I’d officially share it via my blog too. After I’ve finished my degree in May, I will officially be a Digital Marketing Account Executive for a digital marketing agency! I honestly couldn’t be happier and I am so excited to get stuck in with creating content for a range of different clients. I was really keen to get a job in an agency as I really wanted some more experience working on a variety of projects, so I think I’m going to really enjoy it! It feels so strange that my education is nearly over and I will officially be thrown into the working world, but I am so excited to see what this next chapter of my life will bring.
Uni is stressful but hard work is paying off
March was probably one of the worst months ever. I had five deadlines due throughout the month, which meant I got hardly any time to properly rest and be me. By the end of the month, I was wearing so thin and I truly felt exhausted. Some of the assignments I did were really difficult, however the results really made it feel like that the hard work has paid off. I’m so pleased with how everything is going so far and, touch wood, things will continue this way for the last few weeks.
The blog has had a lovely lil’ makeover
The Pipdig drama created a huge Twitter storm and to be honest, I still don’t fully understand it. But, I thought it was best to change my theme just in case, especially as I saw a lot of other bloggers doing the same. I felt worried about losing my Pipdig theme, however I have to say I think I love this one from Underline Designs even more. There’s a lot more room to be creative with my blog posts and I just adore how the new home page looks. It’s amazing what a little switch up can do for your motivation as well. Let me know if you’ve given your blog a new makeover due to all of this, I’d love to see all of them!
Please bear with me during my final few weeks of uni and the transition from uni life to working life – eeeek! I’ve taken a few photos over the past few days so hopefully I will be able to post something here and there. I can’t wait to see what the future brings and FINALLY being able to spend a bit more time on my blog.
