Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

It’s been a long time since I last blogged (A Levels are taking over) but today I just couldn’t resist. Today’s post is about a brand new product that I have been using, which is Benefit’s new Roller Lash mascara. An exclusive smaller size of the product was released free with the March 2015 issue of ELLE magazine before the main release of Roller Lash in March – how exciting!

As I use Benefit’s “They’re Real!” mascara pretty much every day, I had very high hopes for Roller Lash. Benefit claims Roller Lash to be a ‘roller for lashes’ with a ‘Hook ‘n’ Roll’ brush which grabs, separates, lifts and curls and with a curve-setting formula that will hold for 12 hours. After trying the product, I realised that Benefit seemed to live up to their promises relatively well. The curved brush of this mascara definitely separated my lashes very well and made sure they were clump-free. I also noticed that my lashes looked instantly lifted and elongated, which is what every one wants in a mascara, right? I would say if you wanted your lashes to stay extremely lifted you may have to touch it up slightly during the day or perhaps for the evening, however this mascara seems to last on my lashes really well. The Benefit “They’re Real!” mascara is quite difficult to remove, however the Roller Lash mascara seems to remove a lot more easily, which prevents lashes being tugged at.

In case you didn’t already notice from my image above, it’s hard to miss the gorgeous packaging of this product. I do think the full size version of the product is slightly different; the handle seems to look like an actual roller you would put in your hair, which I think is really effective. However, I do love the contrast of the shiny and semi-matte black and pink packaging of the smaller version as it just looks so pretty.

Overall, I am really impressed with the Roller Lash mascara and might even have to buy myself the full size version when it is released in March. You can try the smaller version before its main release if you buy the March 2015 issue of ELLE magazine for £4.
