I know I’m a bit late to jump on the February Favourites bandwagon, but I couldn’t resist sharing with you the products I’ve been adoring this month. Maybe these posts will become a monthly thing here, who knows?
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette shades Bootycall, Tease, YDK & Busted // I’ve been loving these shades this month to create a shimmery brown eyeshadow look with hints of mauve. I place YDK on the majority of the lid, then blend some of Busted into the outer corner to add some depth. Tease is a matte mauve shade, so it works perfectly as a crease shade for this look. Then to finish off the look, I place Bootycall, a gorgeous shimmery pearly shade, in the inner corner to really brighten up my eyes.
Benefit Rockateur Blush // I’ve never really worn blush that much. It was more of something I experimented with when I was younger and then I just sort of forgot it ever existed. But after receiving a small version of the Rockateur blush in one of Benefit’s Christmas sets, I’ve gotten back into it. This is such a gorgeous rosy shade that adds such a nice pop of colour to the cheeks.
MAC Twig Lipstick & Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Pencil in Cappuccino // I’ve paired these two products together because this has been one of my fave lip combos this month. The lip pencil is a dark cool toned brown and is great for contouring the shape of the lips. I apply the lipliner more heavily on the outer parts of my lips, then go ahead and apply Twig to the centre of my lips to add some pink/mauve tones. The two shades blend together perfectly and it really does look so flattering.
Benefit The Porefessional Primer // This primer is great for reducing the appearance of pores and it really creates a smooth and almost silky base for my foundation to glide onto. My foundation looks great when I use this primer, and as I’ve only got a small little tube of it, I like to save it for slightly more special occasions when I want my makeup to last an extra long time.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle // I mentioned my love for this product in my post about my favourite contour & highlight products, which you can read here, so I won’t blab on about this product too much. It gives me a gorgeous glow, makes my cheekbones pop and it just looks stunning every single time.
Essie Nail Polish in Go Ginza // I mentioned this in my post about wanting to try more of Essie’s nail polishes, which you can read here, so again I’ll keep this short. The staying power is amazing – seriously this stuff takes a good while to start chipping. And the colour is just gorgeous too, don’t you think?
