New Makeup Haul | Huda Beauty, Iconic London & More

It’s been a long while since I’ve tried out any new makeup products. So when I got some brand new goodies for Christmas that I’d been lusting over for quite some time, I was pretty excited to say the least…

I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher in Iced Hearts

This is described as a blusher, but I use it as a highlighter because it is so glowy and pigmented! I love a good pinky toned highlight. I just find it looks so flattering on my skin and adds a nice pop of colour. This one is particularly gorge because it has the hint of rose gold, which adds such a nice warm glow to the cheekbones. I usually swirl my brush around all three shades, but this product is also great because you can use each shade individually with great ease. For £4.99, this product is a STEAL!

Huda Beauty Lip Strobe in Angelic

I can’t get over how beautiful this product is. If you love all things rose gold, metallic, glowy and BEAUT then you will loooove this. It adds the most gorgeous pinky/rose gold sheen to the lips and is the perfect way to jazz up a matte lipstick, especially for a night out. The only dig I have about this product is that it doesn’t last a very long time on the lips, so you have to top it up a fair bit. Good news is, it’s really pigmented so you only need a small amount!

Iconic London Pigment Foundation Stick in Icon 2

Before this product, I’d never tried a foundation stick before, so I was really curious as to what I was going to think of it. I heard that a lot of foundation sticks aren’t that great for dry skin and were really hard to blend, so I tended to avoid them. After reading some positive reviews of this little gem, I had to put it on my Christmas wishlist! The verdict: I LOVE IT. The colour match is neaaaarly spot on (I’m very pale at the moment) but the coverage is amazing – goodbye redness! The formula is super creamy and easy to blend, however I do apply a glowy and hydrating moisturiser beforehand to make sure it blends seamlessly on my normal/dry skin. I have to say, I will definitely be purchasing another when it runs out.

BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter

One of the most famous makeup products to date, this has been talked about so much already in the beauty community. BUT, I just had to include it. I picked this up in Florida in a Sephora, which was very lucky because it was the last one on the shelf (even more reason for me to snap it up!). As I said, I’m very pale at the moment (winter struggles) so I haven’t been wearing this too often because it comes up a little dark on my skin. But with a bit of a tan and/or a lot of bronzer, this looks so gorgeous. It’s what highlighter dreams are made of, shimmery, finely milled, golden and glowy (how many times can I say glowy in this post?!). I can’t wait to wear this more in the summer, especially on holiday!

Jouer Long-Wear Lip Topper in Rose Gold

You might be able to tell I was very keen to try the whole glossy/shimmery lip topper trend out. I’ve seen so much online about Jouer’s Skinny Dip lip topper, but something about Rose Gold was just screaming my name! It’s a stunning darker gold/slightly pink shade with lots of glittery reflects in it. Again, the colour doesn’t stay on for too long but the glitter definitely hangs about for a lot longer! So, in my opinion this product isn’t worthy of its ‘long-wearing’ title. One thing about this product that I can’t fault is the smell…oh my god. It smells of toffees/caramels/cakes and all things sweet; I can’t get enough! I do really want to try Skinny Dip too, so perhaps in the future I’ll try it out and compare the two.

What makeup products have you bought/received recently? Is there anything from this haul you’d like to try?
