As you are probably aware, sleeveless jackets, blazers, duster coats and anything else sleeveless you can get your hands on are currently very popular and on trend. I’ve had my eye on a few for a while as I’ve been browsing around shops but never really plucked up the courage to actually buy one, as I didn’t have a clear idea on what I could wear one with. Not only that, being only 5ft in height meant a lot of them fell right below my knees, making me look like I was drowning in fabric (which was not a good look). However recently I found this one from New Look that I thought would be perfect for me. It is actually from the New Look teens section, so it is cut to a length that is more appropriate for my height and fits me a lot better.
After looking at a few images online and seeing others out and about wearing sleeveless jackets, I realised that I did actually have items in my wardrobe that I could pair a sleeveless jacket with, so this made me more willing to go and buy one right away. The fact that mine is white means I can incorporate it into so many different looks, and it is also a great staple wardrobe piece to help dress up a more casual outfit. Today I decided to create a monochrome look with my sleeveless jacket, by pairing it with some Topshop white ripped jeans, a River Island black top and ASOS black loafers. I love wearing monochrome as it always looks so effortlessly chic and is a look that is always on trend. To accessorise, I wore my Pandora ring and River Island sunglasses, and these are great to finish off an outfit and make it look that little bit more sophisticated.
